Oshkosh: No Kings - Vote Early

  • Oshkosh Farmers Market - William Watters Plaza (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/1033178/

Share vote early information with people leaving the Oshkosh Farmers' Market.

*Notes from the organizer: Meet across from Oshkosh Public Library lions. This is where to come to pick up the information you will give to shoppers leaving/ going to the Farmers' Market. We will then be around the parameter of the market, not in the market.

We decide who represents us. We decide what comes next.

For more than a year, millions of people have come together to reject the idea that power belongs to kings, billionaires, or politicians who believe they are above the people and the law.

Now, we are taking the next step, turning people power into voter power. Unlike previous No Kings actions, No Kings: Vote Early, is not purely a protest. Instead, on October 17th, it's a day of nonpartisan voter participation: we are bringing our community together to make a plan to vote early and ensuring every eligible voter understands their options for how to vote and has the opportunity to make their voice heard.

Because no one person gets to decide our leaders before voters do. On October 17th, join us in local events across the country as we get out the early vote and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings.

No Kings: Vote Early events are nonpartisan and are designed to increase participation from all eligible voters.

You can park in the Mall parking lot. Bring your personal signs and flags, and let's prepare to rally together to get out the vote! If you need a sign, there will be extras at the Rally. Ripon: No Kings - Vote Early

https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/1033413/

What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.

For the fourth No Kings, October 17th was chosen so that we can be most effective in reaching voters right before the general election November 3rd. No Kings is emphasizing that this time, things will be different. There will be a clear focus on two things.

1.) Getting as many people as possible to vote early in-person. They ask that this be the theme of any rally that day. This is because having a HUGE turn-out always favors the more liberal candidates and having massive numbers of people vote helps stem their ability to claim the election somehow wasn't valid. Research shows that votes cast early and in-person are the least susceptible to interference by the current administration. Mail-in voting is vulnerable with the threats surrounding the US Postal Service. In-person voting at the polls is vulnerable to voting machines and records being confiscated, with the threat of ICE carrying out voter suppression, and other activities that impact election integrity. Early in-person voting is the way to go.

West Milwaukee: SE WI Indivisible Weekly Sundays

https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/897118/

Community coming out because they are exhausted by the chaos rather than sitting at home angry that our democracy, inalienable rights and justice for all are being eroded. Action is the antidote to anxiety.

Meeting in front of the Target sign on Sundays. Parking is readily available. We spread out along Miller Parkway and display our pro-democracy signs and encourage joiners. Raising awareness and gaining more to the movement is our goal. We would like to have themed messaging and try to announce that to the people who sign up. The themes are determined by what chaos is happening that week.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. No weapons of any kind are allowed.

It's always good to smile and wave :) Come with or without a sign. We will have extras. We like to get a photo together at the end and we do post online. We also will have pickers to pick up trash in the area for those who are so inclined. Looking forward to meeting you!

Time: 2:00pm-3:30pm

For those who would like to meet more people, we go to a local restaurant after our event. Talk to us after for details.

Waukesha: Vote for Decency and Ice Cream Social

https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/1010357/

Voting, Decency and Ice Cream, what a combination!

Join us for a frozen treat at 1:00 before we take to the sidewalks (1:30) to let our elected politicians and the current crop of candidates know that we expect them to be decent individuals. Doesn't seem like a big ask, does it?

Whatever you consider to be decent is appropriate, whether that's be decent and bring our troops home from the costly and unnecessary War on Iran.

Or maybe one of the biggest, decent things they could do is finally release the rest of the Epstein files and prosecute those people for their crimes against children.

How about the indecency of ICE and the detention centers!

The list is endless.

The main rule about our events is that they are peaceful; the second rule is to have fun and be joyful.

ICE is killing our Friends and Family!

We need to protest now, more than ever!!!!

The Democratic Party of Taylor County Wisconsin has scheduled PROTESTS/RALLIES every Saturday from now on!

This Saturday, August 8th, and EVERY SATURDAY, is a great day to protest! It is Warmer, and Sunny

We are serious folks! Everyone in America must be able to Speak Freely without threat of Censure, Imprisonment, Violence or DEATH!

EVERY SATURDAY,

Let's gather across from the Medford Farmers Market at the intersections of Highways 64 and 13, Between the hours of 10 am and 12 pm. Please park where the old Dollar Store was. Bring your signs, smiles, cheers, sunscreen, water, and hats!

Invite your friends and neighbors to join us!

This is not a Democratic Party Protest, It is for Everyone who is Sick and Tired of this Regime Protest. And the wrongs that they are doing on a daily basis. They are Destroying our Constitution and our GOD Given Rights. Let’s make this a BIG turnout!

More thought: We are here to support those who are opposed to this current administration, to this War, and to our Freedom! We are here to show our opposition, and to let the people know that they are not alone. We want to bring all who are undecided, or on the fence, into the fold, by providing them with the necessary, truthful information.
We do not want to do anything that might push people further away, or to become more divided, by insulting them. Let us speak kindly, and to the issues that unite us all!

Also, can we show some love to the vendors at our Farmers Market? They have wonderful, fresh things for sale.

And don't forget. These Protests are EVERY SATURDAY!

Brought to you by the Democratic Party of Taylor County Wisconsin Not for Democrats only! For Everyone! For questions, contact us by: taylorwisdems.org

This is a non-violent protest! De-escalation is ESSENTIAL.

Eau Claire: Bridge Brigade - Monday Mornings

https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/964761/

Meet on the Tower Bridge Overpass over WI-53 near Costco (off Black Avenue). Parking on Gooder & Tower, Eau Claire, WI 54703.

We provide physical messaging in the real world to connect with and activate voters to demonstrate that resistance is possible. Prepare to wave and generally have a good time.

Rules and Protocols

  1. We avoid doing anything that could either harm ourselves or anyone else. This includes stepping into traffic, holding a sign where it could fall onto cars below, climbing fencing, etc.

  2. We must not block pedestrian and bike traffic, so please keep the middle of the overpass and/or sidewalk clear to allow them to pass.

  3. We supply the messages, you supply the waves. However, you are welcome to also display your own poster boards. Just avoid any messaging that would be rated above a PG-13.

  4. We don’t litter. If we find litter, we pick it up and throw it away.

  5. We are NOT allowed to attach the signs to the fencing on the overpass. We don’t use stickers or anything that leaves a permanent mark on the overpass. However, chalk is okay and even encouraged.

  6. If someone from the ‘opposition’ comes up to talk with us, do not engage with them. Best to just ignore them. One member will be designated to handle them and video record any aggressive interaction so that you can go right on waving.

  7. We take lots of pictures and videos during our action for circulation on social media. If you prefer not to be included, please let us know and/or consider wearing a mask.

  8. Should law enforcement pay us a visit, only the designated point person from the group should address them.

  9. Ignore the middle fingers and negativity coming from some of the cars below. For every one of those confused folks, you are providing hope to another 100 people!

  10. The Visibility Brigade is a non-violent, informal volunteer group in which we all participate with an understanding that our own actions are our personal responsibility and we accept our own personal liability. You participate with this understanding.

See you at 7:30am for setup and 8:00am to wave!

Find us on Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/indivisiblesewisc.bsky.social

SE WI Indivisible is a community that: • educates about and supports free speech, justice, and liberty for all • understands and advocates for policies that benefit all of us • promotes civic literacy in order to expose misinformation.
