Monroe: Remove The Regime Rally
We wanted to gather for one more powerful outdoor rally before winter’s cold settles in, and we’re doing just that.
On November 22, a major rally will take place in Washington, D.C., and we’re bringing that same spirit here to Monroe. Together, we’ll stand as a community, united in resistance and solidarity, because our collective strength will always outweigh the power of any president or would-be dictator.
This event will mirror the energy of the John Lewis Day of Action and will take place at the intersection of Highway 69 and 8th Street on Saturday, November 22, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Let’s stand together. Let’s make our voices heard!

Monona: Defends the Constitution and Democracy
https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/857754/
MONONA PROTESTS
Resistance is growing. Protests are growing. What we are seeing is not what this country is.
More and more people across the country are showing and telling the Trump regime that they don’t like what is happening to the country.
People don’t like that the Big Ugly Bill takes medical care and food from low-income people to fund tax breaks for the wealthiest among us.
They don’t like seeing families and communities violently ripped apart by anonymous ICE agents arresting and detaining US citizens and people with no criminal records.
They don’t like seeing protections for air and water being eliminated.
They don’t like seeing food for foreign aid withheld, withdrawn, and destroyed.
They don’t like that people appointed to positions of authority when their only qualification is loyalty to Trump.
People are tired of cruelty, and lies, and chaos. This is not the way to build a strong country.
We are tired of the attacks on the rule of law.
WE are tired and fed up with efforts to undermine and restrict freedom of speech, a keystone of our country's values.
People know that this is not what the United States is. Our laws, customs, values, and traditions are being ripped apart. We object.
When people see others protesting, it gives them courage to join. They know they are not alone.
We are continuing to protest in Monona, building solidarity and connections and strengthening our community. Joining others with whom you agree is energizing – you feel less alone.
4:00-5:00 pm at the corner of Nichols Road and Monona Drive. Bring signs, energy, friends, neighbors, and family. Forward this to others.

Madison: Government Shutdown Event
https://www.mobilize.us/aflcio/event/867867/
Join Us to Tell Senator Johnson To Do His Job So Federal Workers Can Do Theirs!
AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler stated the following in response to the ongoing Trump Shutdown. “For one month, President Trump and his allies have shut down the government and forced more than 2 million federal workers and contractors to miss paychecks. Working people are lining up at food banks; taking out loans; racking up credit card debt; and scrambling to cover monthly bills like rent, car payments and utilities. Millions of jobs are being threatened in government, health care, food service and other industries. Twenty-two million Americans are trying to sign up for health insurance on Open Enrollment Day, only to learn the Trump administration has priced them out of care. Nearly 180 million people with job-based insurance will soon discover the same.
Come out and join us as we support workers who are being impacted by the inaction of politicians in DC who are putting their agenda before the dignity of workers.
We will meet this Thursday November 6th at Senator Johnson’s Office 5315 Wall Street, Suite 110, Madison, WI 53718 at 2:00 PM.
