Appleton: Weekly Stand for Palestine Vigil

We meet each Saturday morning to support the rights of Palestinians to life, self-determination and the protection of their homeland. We call for the withdrawal of IDF troops from Gaza and a cessation of military aid for Israel. Because we pledge to be transparent and accountable, we do not allow the wearing of masks. We are not pro-Hamas and we guard against antisemitism. This event is hosted by the Fox Valley Advocates for Peace.

Our NE Wisconsin Republican US House member, Tony Wied, has refused to hold a single in-person townhall since he's been in office (although happy to hold invitation-only fundraisers for his deep-pocketed donors) - join veterans and Indivisible Brown County outside his office at 1702 Scheuring Rd in DePere on Wednesdays from 11:30 to 12:30 to remind him that we exist!

Hiker Park does not have an address; it is across from The Paine Museum. Street parking is available around the area. Occupy sidewalk on Congress Ave and Algoma Blvd.

The No Kings Alliance is mobilizing urgent, nationwide action in response to the Republican government shutdown. Join us this weekend as we provide mutual aid and care to our neighbors hurt by the Republican government shutdown.

Right now Republicans are refusing to protect critical healthcare and nutrition programs which will result in 42 million Americans losing the benefits that keep their families fed. When those in power hoard resources and use our government to punish people, we answer with collective care and resistance, feeding our bodies and fueling our movement.

We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
