Port Washington: Stop the Crackdown on Free Speech in Port Washington! (protest)
https://www.mobilize.us/ozaukeeindivisible/event/875123/
The stakes are getting larger and closer to home by the day.
We’ve grown used to seeing authoritarian tactics meted out by Federal authorities in places like Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. On Tuesday, December 2, we witnessed ordinary citizens in Port Washington at a common council meeting being forcibly removed and arrested after peaceably speaking out against a planned Data Center.
It’s time for MORE of us to get LARGER…and LOUDER.
Please make a special effort this Saturday to make your voice heard loud and clear that we will NOT be silenced!
Join us Saturday, 12/6 in Port Washington at the 4 corners of Spring Street and Grand Avenue (the intersection of Hwys. 33 and 32) from 10am-11am.
This local development doesn’t detract from our ongoing resistance to the dismantling of our constitutional republic and the dangerous policies of the Trump Administration…it only sharpens and steels it.
So bring your favorite signs (or new ones!) and enthusiasm and join us in protest against any and all efforts to blunt our voice and diminish our democracy.
And let’s be sure to let the local authorities know they are here to “Serve and Protect”…our Freedom of Speech!
