Stevens Point: Community Rally Part 18 - Action Fights Despair

https://www.facebook.com/events/2029968271102933

Join us in front of the historic train engine at Leary Park for a community gathering to meet your neighbors, join some conversations, and maybe even wave some signs! If you care about democracy and our constitution and are looking for ways to fight despair, you're invited to join us. We aren't affiliated with any political party, group, or organization; we're community members who've been working together since summer 2024 to build systems of support, share resources, and teach each other how to fight tyranny- here and around the world.

**** We're moving across the street for the winter months. Our beloved hill is a little too steep for safety in the winter weather, so we'll be hanging out and hunkering down by the train at the newly-named Leary Park directly across from Veterans Park, just north of the Church Street underpass. Bring a chair if you'd like one! Follow the event page for more details about parking and park etiquette. ***

We'll be talking a lot about how to stay focused and keep moving forward through the uncertainty and challenges of winter. We'd love to have you join the conversation!

These events are becoming a "hub" for people to share their organizations and passions, and we want to hear about yours! It's VERY casual- you don't need to do a presentation or anything- just show up and talk to people about your work and passions. Check out our FB page for more info and message us if you'd like to know more. All are welcome.

Event is rain or shine; if there's severe weather, we'll update this space. We'll have sidewalk chalk, sign supplies, plenty of extra signs, music, and lots of info and ideas. We have candy, snacks, and water to share. Sometimes we even have outdoor video games and Pickles the Clown! There's something for everyone, of every age, is what we're saying...

Please be respectful of surrounding businesses and private property. There's plenty of street parking and a public lot; we encourage walking, biking, and carpooling to minimize the environmental impact of this event.

Spread the word and join us! We're doing this every Sunday and will keep showing up as long as you do. We're all in this together.

Wausau: Empty Plates, Empty Promises Rally & Food Drive

  • South 17th Avenue & Stewart Avenue Wausau, WI, 54401 United States (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

https://www.mobilize.us/indivisible/event/867616

This a local Indivisible event!

People are going hungry — not because there isn’t enough food, but because our leaders made choices that take food off the table. Cuts to FoodShare benefits aren’t ‘fiscal responsibility’ — they’re cruelty. Hunger is a political choice.

Join us as we rally to protest the cruel cuts to the FoodShare program — cuts that put children, families, and seniors at risk unnecessarily. The resources exist to help, but our politicians are choosing not to act.

📅 Saturday, November 22, 2025

⏰12pm to 2pm

📍Corner of S. 17th Ave & Stewart Ave (Middle School side of street)

🍗 We will be accepting non-perishable food or monetary donations for The Neighbor's Place https://neighborsplace.org/

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
