Tuesday, January 6th marks the fifth anniversary of the violent attack on our nation’s Capitol where over 140 police officers were assaulted and injured while safeguarding the peaceful transfer of power. We are holding two* separate events to serve as a reminder of how fragile our democracy is, especially in the face of unprecedented corruption, and to honor the officers who have sworn to uphold our constitutional rights.

This is a Candlelight Vigil being held in Front of Cedarburg City Hall - City Square beginning at 6:30pm (to approx 7pm).

Ozaukee Indivisible will honor and remember the bravery the officers displayed on January 6th, 2021 and recognize the trauma many still carry, with a Candlelight Vigil. We welcome you to gather in respectful solidarity with those officers and to honor our own local law enforcement for their ongoing commitment to uphold constitutional principles in their stressful and dangerous daily work.

We will provide candles, music, and brief remarks by speakers.
