Wisconsin Resist, an official partner of Womens March, is coordinating a statewide walkout centered in collective care.
Instead of scattering, we’re asking local groups to walk together to shared care spaces such as:
• libraries
• community centers / union halls
• faith spaces offering warmth
• public plazas (with indoor backup nearby)
Each site should prioritize warmth, food & water, safety/de-escalation, and buddy systems so no one walks alone.
Ways to support:
• bus passes, carpools, rural rides
• strike kitchens, potlucks, food drives, fundraisers
• emergency childcare & elder care
• micro-grants ($25–$100) for retaliation or lost wages
• legal rights & safety trainings
• Signal alerts / phone trees
How to participate:
Walk out, support someone who does, cook, drive, donate, host a warming space, or document. Every role matters.
Local walk-to locations & times will be shared as confirmed. We walk out together. We care for each other.
