Wausau: Empty Plates, Empty Promises Rally & Food Drive

  • South 17th Avenue & Stewart Avenue Wausau, WI, 54401 United States (map)

This a local Indivisible event!

People are going hungry — not because there isn’t enough food, but because our leaders made choices that take food off the table. Cuts to FoodShare benefits aren’t ‘fiscal responsibility’ — they’re cruelty. Hunger is a political choice.

Join us as we rally to protest the cruel cuts to the FoodShare program — cuts that put children, families, and seniors at risk unnecessarily. The resources exist to help, but our politicians are choosing not to act.

📅 Saturday, November 22, 2025

⏰12pm to 2pm

📍Corner of S. 17th Ave & Stewart Ave (Middle School side of street)

🍗 We will be accepting non-perishable food or monetary donations for The Neighbor's Place https://neighborsplace.org/

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
