Mount Horeb Wisconsin will hold a program at Liberty Park Shelter, Located at 1201 Cox Drive. Cox speakers and musicians to be announced. After the program attendees are invited to occupy the sidewalks of well traveled Springdale Street. The event will honor those who stood up and fought against fascism in all of its forms. Mount Horeb prides itself as a Norwegian themed village. Public school athletic teams are "The Vikings". Carved trolls can be found throughout the village. On this, a day before Norwegian Independence Day, we give a shout out to Scandi Resistance. Norwegian resistance to the Nazi occupation during WWII played a vital role in unifying the country and seeing the Norwegian people through the dark years of the occupation with their national identity and sense of solidarity intact.
