The New Wisconsin Idea:

Our coalition was formed as a response to the control held by the billionaire class over our government. We are traveling around Wisconsin speaking about the New Wisconsin Idea, a not-so-radical notion that our state should deliver basic rights for the working class.

We believe that every Wisconsinite, regardless of income, race, religion, gender, country of origin, or sexual orientation, has the right to the basic necessities of life. Our state can lead the nation in fighting for economic justice through living wages, high-quality and affordable health care, world-class education, affordable housing for all, a clean environment, and a secure retirement. Wisconsinites deserve a state that works for them, not for the billionaire class.
