11AM to 1:00PM this FRIDAY Aug 15th - join us on the Hwy 59 (Main St) Bridge over the Sugar River for BE BRAVE DAY: BE BRAVE WITH US! WE'LL STAND WITH YOU! A national day of VISIBILITY, COURAGE, and COLLECTIVE POWER +++ Let America hear your voice! Let everyone know that you believe in a better country where equality and kindness are the rule of the day!
We will walk on the north side of the bridge - bring a sign, borrow one of ours, or just stand with us in solidarity - for as little or as long as you like. BE BRAVE! We are hard-working local folks - your friends and neighbors - who are greatly concerned about the injustices happening in our country, and how this will affect our rural community in ways big and small. Stand up! Fight back!
(If you are unable to walk/stand, bring a chair and sit in our dedicated spot at the NW corner of Hwy 59 and Sugar River Parkway, under the big shady tree)
Albany will also be having our annual River Fest this Friday, so parking along Sugar River Parkway or Mill St is recommended, as Water Street downtown will be closed at some point.

De 11 a. m. a 1 p. m. este VIERNES 15 de agosto, acompáñenos en el puente de la autopista 59 (calle principal) sobre el río Sugar para el DÍA DE LA VALENTÍA: ¡SÉ VALIENTE CON NOSOTROS! ¡TE APOYAMOS! Un día nacional de VISIBILIDAD, VALENTÍA y PODER COLECTIVO. ¡Que Estados Unidos escuche tu voz! ¡Que todos sepan que crees en un país mejor donde la igualdad y la amabilidad sean la norma!
Caminaremos por el lado norte del puente. Trae un cartel, pide prestado uno de los nuestros o simplemente acompáñanos en solidaridad, por el tiempo que desees. ¡SÉ VALIENTE! Somos gente trabajadora de la zona, tus amigos y vecinos, y estamos muy preocupados por las injusticias que ocurren en nuestro país y cómo esto afectará a nuestra comunidad rural de maneras grandes y pequeñas. ¡Defiéndete! ¡Lucha!
