The Door County community is invited to come together for a day of education, entertainment, and unity at Door County’s Inaugural Juneteenth Gathering, taking place on Saturday, June 21, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Martin Park. This free event welcomes all residents and visitors to celebrate the history, culture, and significance of Juneteenth in a meaningful and engaging way.

The gathering will feature an international speaker as the Master of Ceremonies, a live DJ, a dynamic African drum circle, and an exciting Double Dutch competition. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Juneteenth’s rich history while enjoying music, movement, and performances that honor the resilience and achievements of the African American community.
While food will not be provided at the event, participants are encouraged to bring their own meals and share in the experience with family and friends. This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to connect, reflect, and celebrate together in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Sponsorships are encouraged. Organizations and businesses interested in participating can reach out for more details.
