Notes from the organizer: Hi everyone, Thank you so much for signing up to support the John Lewis protest in Milwaukee. I wanted to share an important location update to make sure you know where to go and what to expect. ⸻ 📍 New Location: We’re meeting across the street from Colectivo on Lincoln Memorial Drive—on the lakeside of the street. We’ll be standing on the grass along the parkway, side-by-side, facing traffic for maximum visibility. 🅿️ Parking: There should be parking available: – Along Lincoln Memorial Drive – Or in the marina lot nearby ⸻ I’ll be honest—this is my first time organizing a protest. I couldn’t stay silent any longer, so I took the leap and posted this event. I’m learning as I go, and I’m truly grateful that you’re showing up too. Just by attending, you’re stepping into this movement with me. ⸻ ✅ What to Expect: We’ll stand peacefully along the grass with clear visibility to traffic Bring signs! And if you have extras, bring them too—more signs mean a bigger visual impact ⸻ 📣 Take Action Right Now: Text 3 people—in Milwaukee or anywhere in the country—and send them this link: Mobilize.us They can join us, find a protest near them, or even start one in their own community. That’s how we amplify this movement nationwide. ⸻ Let’s show up, stand strong, and make good trouble in honor of John Lewis. In solidarity, Stacey Moe

Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people.

On July 17, the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing, we’re taking action across the country to defend our democracy and carry forward his legacy of Good Trouble.

From voter suppression bills like the SAVE Act to the criminalization of protest, the Trump administration is launching a full-scale attack on our civil and human rights. But we know the truth: in America, the power lies with the people, and we’re rising to prove it.

This is more than a protest; it’s a moral reckoning. A continuation of the movement Lewis helped lead, and a new front in the struggle for freedom.

Please note: A core principle behind our Good Trouble Lives On actions is a commitment to nonviolence in all we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
