Madison: Paddle For Peace

  • James Madison Park 614 East Gorham Street Madison, WI, 53703 United States (map)

Reminder: Paddle for Peace *tomorrow* August 31 @ 3 PM at James Madison Park (614 E Gorham, Madison).

We’ll meet at 3 PM to decorate canoes, kayaks, SUPs, and more. The flotilla will launch at 4 PM, where we’ll sing, chant, enjoy watermelon, and paddle together for 1-2 hours.

What should you bring? First and foremost, yourself! Then, clothes that can get wet. If you have them (no worries if not), boats or floaties/innertubes, Palestine flags 🇵🇸, permanent markers and tape for decorating, and water melon or other snacks to share!

If you don’t have a boat, please come anyway! We’d love your help with decorations, and there will likely be plenty of opportunities to join other boaters as a passenger or paddler. Or you can rent a boat at the Memorial Union (https://union.wisc.edu/events-and-activities/outdoor-uw/outdoor-rentals/paddling-rentals).

🍉🇵🇸 Join us in solidarity with international flotillas and all those calling for an end to the siege!
